Local or severe generalized allergic reactions. Exercise; travelling to ≥2 timezones; infection or illness especially diarrhea or vomiting; missed or delayed meals. Frequent episodes of hypoglycemia or difficulty in recognizing symptoms. Prolonged hyperglycemia resulting to diabetic acidosis. Depression in the skin or enlargement/thickening of tissue. Establish sick day plan. Frequently perform urine &/or blood glucose testing for proper dose monitoring. Modification of insulin requirements while taking other medications during illness. Planning to have baby. Pregnancy.
